What can thousands of water and wastewater operator training events tell us about how to best use the past to better inform the future? This presentation takes a deep dive into reviewing operator trainings, both in-person and live online from a unique national dataset gathered by WaterOperator.org.
Nearly 230,000 events have been entered into our national training calendar since 2009. This is an analysis of training event data from 2014 through 2023. Join us to explore actionable insights, a review of how the pandemic has changed our approach to training methods, and some surprising results of what training has looked like over those 10 years.
This presentation will also review current challenges facing water systems and online resources available to help community leaders, decision makers, and water utilities to meet regulatory compliance and enhance public health. Resources on understanding the Lead and Copper Rule Improvement requirements, selecting PFAS treatment technologies, and maintaining workforce development will be highlighted.
