Join Friends of the Chicago River for the 32nd Annual Chicago River Day on May 11, 2024, from 9 a.m to 12 p.m, where volunteers come together to remove litter from the Chicago-Calumet River system, contributing to its health and biodiversity.
This family-friendly event aims to reduce the negative impacts of litter on wildlife, community, economy, and public health. After the cleanup, join fellow volunteers for after parties at Blue Island Beer Company or Burning Bush Brewery from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Advance registration is required by May 3, 2024, to ensure supply needs and T-shirt availability. Walk-up volunteers are welcome but space is limited, particularly at on-water locations. Participants under 18 require guardian consent.
Register today to make a difference and enjoy a rewarding day of community service and celebration!
