RENEW is accelerating use-inspired research, workforce development, and commercialization to recover valuable resources and eliminate harmful contaminants from wastewater. By unlocking new sources of critical minerals, energy, and nutrients, RENEW is laying the groundwork for a circular blue economy—one that strengthens supply chains, protects water systems, and helps build a more secure and resilient future for the region and the nation.

The initiative unites universities, startups, corporations, utilities, government agencies, and community organizations to foster innovation and collaboration across the water sector.

The Third Coast Water Seminar Series is one of the many ways Great Lakes RENEW is raising awareness for today’s most urgent water challenges, showcasing breakthrough solutions, and expanding the network of collaborators driving innovation across the region.
